Epcot in Disney World is a tribute to the world, but rather boring for smaller children. While there are more rides at Disney World, Disneyland has Toon Town. Toon Town at Disney World is a 2 dimensional version (furniture is normal size for humans) of where Mickey, Minnie and the whole gang live. At Disney Land the whole Toon Town area is scaled to cartoon size. Each chair, desk and lamp looks like it came right out of Roger Rabbit, the movie.

Disneyland also can be done in a day if you get there early and have a great deal of endurance. My wife and I went on our honeymoon with friends and got there as the park opened and closed it with the end of the day parade and fireworks show at 10:30. If you have a choice, make it Disneyland.

Of the various Halls of Fame, I can’t speak, but the Baseball Hall of Fame goes back to the roots of the game and also includes current memorabilia that highlights current streaks, record chases and isn’t just a place where the busts of those enshrined are housed. As a baseball fan who attended games at the old Forbes Field in Pittsburgh and listened to the exploits of Willie Stargell and Roberto Clemente, seeing some of their equipment and accomplishments in the hall of Fame was very impressive. I recommend a trip even to those who don’t love baseball, but enjoy history.

At one time there was a chairlift that went up to a restaurant that was open in the summer, but an avalanche destroyed the lift several years ago, and funds were not available to rebuild it. I have heard that a private investor had purchased the rights to rebuild it starting some time in 2010.

Once the spring snow melt begins Bridal Veil Falls is a torrent of water careening down the side of the mountain. It is also just about freezing temperature. There is a path that will take you up the side of the mountain along the falls to a plateau several hundred feet above the pool where a warning sign says to not climb any farther due to extreme risk. Towards the middle of summer when temperatures reach 90 on a regular basis and the snow melt is no longer, you can actually hike the falls through the water. My son, Adam, and I have created a couple of memories hiking to the plateau through the frigid water (rather refreshing in July) and back down the trail.

Few places which no one can afford to miss are the snow covered mountains, city of Lyon and Mount Blanc. The place is full of rivers, vineyards and natural parks which are worth a visit. The best thing to offer is skiing and snowboarding for tourists.

There are a number of well alleged ski resorts in this place. Some of them are Vallee Blanche in Chamonix and Les Arcs in Bourg Saint Maurice.

Other than that night life is what people can relish in this glorious place. There are countless bars, operas, clubs, and pubs for people to enjoy a drink of beers with family and have fun.

This place is also renowned to have theatres. Live performances are conducted from time to time. For instance one famous theatre in Rhone Alpes is Romains de Fourviere in Lyon.

Rhone Alpines also has the best vineyards in the country. The best known regions are Beaujolais and Cotes du Rhone in the south.

Holidays in Rome can be spent shopping in the best shops and department stores to learning the cultures and ways of the Italians passed down from the gladiators to the Rosoneri and Azzuri of modern times. You will not be disappointed visiting the Vatican and Capitoline museums, the Theater of Marcellus built by the great Caesar Julius and completed by his heir Augustus.

The best holiday times in Rome are the Spring months and the activities to be indulged in are numerous for both adults and kids. The nightlife in Rome is just as entertaining. The utility services to make your holiday stress free are all in place. Hiring cars, drivers ,guides even vacation houses will be no hustle at all. Only caution is don’t come to Rome with a lousy attitude, that will not be tolerated!
